Talk:Wausau Timberjacks

I PLAYED AGAINST the Wausau "Lumberjacks" in 1953 when the team was part of the Wisconsin State League. I pitched for the Oshkosh Giants of the same Class D League. However, I do not see this listing in the above data. I believe the Lumberjacks were a farm club of the Detroit Tigers that year. I also think Steve Demeter played third base and was an excellent hitter, and I think he may hold some sort of career record for games played in the minor leagues. I believe he played several years for Buffalo of the AAA International League later in his career. I think a player named Ben Mateosky was a power- hitting outfielder on the team.
