Talk:Tony Pena
I just love Tony! On 1 April 1987 I went to my friend's house and when he opened the door, the first thing out of his mouth was, "We just got Tony Pena in a trade!" I thought he was April-Fooling me and I told him to shut up. He said, "No, you shut up! We really got him!" It amazed us game after game to see him throw out baserunners from that how-does-he-sit-like-that position! He was an amazing leader on the field and we knew that he would be just as talented leading from the dugout. His Manager of the Year honor for 2003 proves that we were right. Now the Yankees have a chance to benefit from Tony's talent and love for the Great Game. Joe Torre can't last forever (sorry, Joe) and maybe the Yankees should consider moving Tony up. 08:14, 18 Mar 2006 (EST)~Brett Clifford and Libby Herbig
What "little more than season" was he the Astros' bench coach? He managed NO in 2001 and took over the Royals in 2002. --Jeff 01:39, 5 May 2008 (EDT)
Little more than month perhaps ? I think he was the Astros' bench coach before the Royals hired him to manage in 2002. --Philippe 10:10, 5 May 2008 (EDT)
I changed it to "little more than a month". -Chisoxfan 12:30, 5 May 2008 (EDT)
