The birth name is derived from The Baseball Encyclopedia, and hence comes originally from Lee Allen, longtime historian of the Hall of Fame. Allen spent an enormous amount of time tracking down players' times and places of birth and death. If you have additional information about him yourself, both the Bullpen and SABR's Biographical Research Committee would be very interested. --Roger 00:01, 24 July 2006 (EDT)
