Talk:Roger Kahn
Is he the son of Jewish immigrants or native-born Americans? If it's native Americans, that is not too noteworthy and probably should be altogether removed. -Chisoxfan 20:33, 15 March 2007 (EDT)
It seems to be second-generation Jewish immigrants (born in the US of immigrant parents). The point in the Boys of Summer, where they are central characters, is that they were not yet fully assimilated into mainstream American society (as Roger would be). --Philippe 05:11, 16 March 2007 (EDT)
If that's the case, should we say "second-generation Jewish immigrants" rather than "native-born Americans"? Native-born makes it sound like my parents, who are about as assimilated as can be. -Chisoxfan 08:43, 16 March 2007 (EDT)
