Maybe not. The 2008 Baseball America Directory lists the Red Sox scout as "Edgar Perez (Vega Baja, PR)". I'm not sure if that is where he's from, or where he's based out of now. The Edgar Perez we have a page for is from Colombia, and apparently works in Miami. --Jeff 20:41, 30 March 2012 (EDT)

Perez was an Indians scout for 7 years then moved to the Red Sox in Nov. 2006 - see here Sounds like he has been focused heavily on Puerto Rico, whereas the Edgar Perez we have an article for sounds focused on Colombia. I'd guess different people but am not 100% sure. - --Mischa 10:01, 2 April 2012 (EDT)
