Talk:Norm Griffin
Doyle lists a Norm Griffen on Janesville in 1946, but if this Norm was black, it's likely a different one. He also has this Norm listed as the same Norm Griffen, which seems unlikely. He has a Norm Griffin in 1958 in the Midwest League. - --Mischa 17:59, 18 Jun 2006 (EDT)
Norm Griffin was an infielder, a shortstop, when I played with him on the Oshkosh Giants in 1953. Was the Norm griffin an infielder who played in the midwest league? If so, what was his age? This might help identify this player. Norm had great potential when I knew him.

Well, things have not gotten any clearer. I checked the 1947 Guide, which doesn't give a first name for the Griffen on Janesville in 1946. Maybe Doyle was assuming two Griffens in the Wisconsin State League within a decade were the same guy? - --Mischa 20:59, 15 November 2006 (EST)
SABR doesn't list a first name for the 1946 Griffen either [1]. He was a pitcher, so it must a different guy. paperofrecord was no help. --Jeff 13:48, 22 August 2008 (EDT)
