Nick Capra played for the Oklahoma City 89ers....he lead the league in stolen bases...he was center fielder and lead off hitter....I watched him play in 1983 and 1984 I beleive. Shortly after that he was called up to the Texas Rangers. Nick was always this happy fun loving guy, who liked to play tricks on his team mates. There was an article written about him in the OKC paper, that compared him to Pete Rose. He gave me a baseball, a brand new one, and signed it. I still have that ball, with only his signiture on it. I always believed that he would be called up to the majors, and that the ball would be worth a lot of money. Besides the sentimental value....it was a long time ago, but I remember it fondly. Nick was a great guy.
