Talk:Newark Yankees
I fixed some of these links before on Saturday. William Holm-Billy Holm, etc. Why did someone go through and change them all back to bad links? - --Mischa 08:31, 20 November 2006 (EST)
I don't understand the system for ranking "team batting" - Newark is listed as being "1st" in "team batting" in 1950 when they were third in the league in runs, second in total bases, 4th in homers, last in steals and third in walks? They led in hits, doubles and average and that appears to be it. Given that Marion scored 138 runs, wouldn't one rank them as a better offensive outfit? - --Mischa 21:47, 27 November 2006 (EST)
Batting average is so ingrained in many people's minds as the determining factor of offense that teams are usually listed in order of average. Maybe it should be headed top averages instead of top offenses? --Just me 22:10, 27 November 2006 (EST)
