Talk:Len Barker
Is there any source for the "ten outs on ten consecutive pitches in a game"? Its kind of an unwritten rule that if the first two batters make outs on one pitch, the third batter will take until there's a strike. For that to happen three innings in a row seems hard to believe. --Jeff 14:33, 21 April 2011 (EDT)
A three-pitch inning has been done, but so few times that a complete list is available (see here [1]). Barker's name is nowhere on that list. I am extremely skeptical about the 10-pitch claim, especially for a power pitcher like Barker, who definitely did not pitch to contact. --Philippe 17:50, 21 April 2011 (EDT)
