Talk:John E. Olerud
Can someone flesh-out the stats as I was going by the TSN weekly year end stats. --MichaelEng (talk) 00:11, 16 November 2006 (EST)
If Olerud Sr. was inducted into the UW Hall of fame, wouldn't Olerud Jr. be inducted into the WSU Hall of fame?--Just me 12:36, 16 November 2006 (EST)
I added the seasonal stats except for 1965, as I have no guide for then. I have absolutely no record of him being a switch-hitter though. I'm changing it to right-hander unless someone can provide evidence he did switch-hit at some point. - --Mischa 19:14, 16 November 2006 (EST)
Ok, Bobo Brayton and WSU made the 1965 CWS, not UW. So that would indicate that the changes to WSU from UW would be correct. I don't know the source for UW, and I don't know where he went, so I'm leaving it as is. --Jeff 01:01, 7 June 2007 (EDT)
John E. Olerud went to Washington State University as an undergraduate, as did his son. The elder Olerud did his graduate work at the University of Washington, and is currently a Professor there, but he played at WSU. A PDF file listing all WSU Hall of Fame members, and listing both Oleruds, can be found at http://www.cstv.com/auto_pdf/p_hotos/s_chools/wast/genrel/auto_pdf/2004-hof-list
That makes sense, undergrad at WSU, postgrad at UW. Thanx. --Jeff 01:35, 7 June 2007 (EDT)
