Both the Mexican League Baseball Encyclopedia by Cisneros and the Baseball Guides list him as James Collins several times. Viva Beisbol gives his full name also as Jimmie Collins, but I see no other source to support this and several relatively official sources that give James. - --Mischa 07:38, 19 Feb 2006 (EST)

Minor League Baseball Stars Volume III by SABR, and The Minor League Register from Baseball America both say "Jimmie is correct first name and no middle name." I believe, however that the Register was working from the Stars series, so that may only be one sourcce, not two.
