Talk:Jerry Narron
Jerry is related to both Sams, how are the Sams related? Its not noted on their pages. --Just me 21:45, 15 Jun 2006 (EDT)
It sounds like a trick logic-testing. question. Let me give it a try. Jerry and his brother John (a former minor league player) are nephews of Sam 1. Sam 2 is the nephew of Jerry, but not the son of John (at least, it's not noted in the 2005 Sporting News Register). Therefore he must be the son of Jerry's second brother, let's call him Mike. Mike would also be Sam 1's nephew, and Sam 2 would call Sam 1 his great-uncle. That starts to be a pretty distant relationship, which is probably why it's not listed in any source... --Philippe 05:26, 16 Jun 2006 (EDT)
According to here Sam Narron (narrosa02) is the son of Richard Narron, a former New York Mets minor leaguer and grandson ot the older Sam Narron, his namesake. However, this page states that he is the son of Jerry Narron. This MLB article about drafted sons of MLB fathers in the 2002 has no mention of Narron. Finally this page states that Jerry Narron is his second cousin. My best guess is:
Sam Narron (narrosa01)---------{John Narron}---------Milton Narron - minor league outfielder | | | Richard Narron < cousin > Jerry Narron John Narron Jr. - first baseman in the Yankees and White Sox systems (1974-75) | ^ Sam Narron <--first cousin once removed? (narrosa02)

Except the 2005 Register does not say that Sam 2 is the grandson of Sam 1, while it says he is the nephew of Jerry. Very confusing ! --Philippe 07:59, 16 Jun 2006 (EDT)
So is the Johnny Narron that managed Helena in 2004, John Narron Jr.? --Jeff 16:23, 25 May 2007 (EDT)
This article indicates that they are the same. - --Mischa 09:41, 1 October 2007 (EDT)
