Re: 1966 Robert Cannon
Who's Who in Professional Baseball says Cannon was legal advisor for the Player's Association for 6 1/2 years at no pay. In 1966 he was offered $50,000 and expenses to be full time legal counsel but turned it down because players wanted him to move to New York.
It also says he was vice-president of Brewers (the book was published in 1973).
On another note, is he notable?
