Talk:Goose Gossage
The White Sox bullpen was painfully anemic in the late 60's and the start of the 70's. To those following their games, it seems that ChiSox relievers couldn't find the strike zone, while their opposing teams' closers would blast fastball strike after fastball strike past the White Sox hitters. I remember that changed when the South Siders brought in Terry Forrester and Rich Gossage. All of a sudden, the tables had turned and the Sox started dishing out a taste of their opponents' own medicine.
