Talk:East-West Game
Not sure which Municipal Stadiums these two were. --Jeff 12:06, 17 October 2007 (EDT)
- In 1962? Kansas City.
- The truly ironic fact is that the Monarchs left Kansas City for Grand Rapids, MI in 1955 (keeping only the name while barnstorming nearly full time), and only after they were gone did KC host an E-W Game. Go figure. -- Couillaud 18:16, 17 October 2007 (EDT)
- I just now found the other reference to "Municipal Stadium" in this article, in 1942. In '42 the second game was held in Cleveland. A "North-South Game" was also arranged in Memphis late that same season, but IIRC it was canceled due to bad weather. -- Couillaud 18:18, 17 October 2007 (EDT)
Larry Lester only lists the first 1938 E-W Game in his book. - --Mischa 20:34, 9 November 2010 (EST)
