Talk:Doug Howard
The 1977 Register says his father, Bob Howard, "played for Hollywood in the Pacific Coast League in the 1920s." The Pacific Coast League: A Statistical History, 1903-1957 doesn't list a Howard for Hollywood between 1926 and 1935. However, the book doesn't list every player every year, maybe over ~100 ABs or so, whatever will fit. --Jeff 02:23, 15 July 2007 (EDT)
Lots of Bob Howards in the minors, but Doyle does list a Bob Howard (1926-1929) who played on the west coast and hit .214 in limited action for Hollywood in 1927. Sounds like the guy. - --Mischa 11:16, 15 July 2007 (EDT)
