Talk:Don Sutton

As a huge Dodger fan--particularly of their 1988 World Series team (the stuntmen, pitching, and more pitching); I do not remember Don Sutton pitching for the team that year. I have found an on-line record of the box scores from that year showing he pitched as the #3/4 starter at the beginning of that year. While his w/l record was poor that year, his era was not that bad.

My questions is: What were the circumstances leading to his 1988 retirement? Did he get injured? Did the Dodgers decide he was too ineffective?
