Talk:Chino Cadahia
I don't have a Guide or Statistics Report/Almanac from 1982 or 1983. Can anyone add his expanded batting line for those years? Also what about his managerial record in the minors? - --Mischa 19:47, 10 October 2006 (EDT)
I've seen articles saying he started coaching in 1984. The catcher listed for Salem in 1985 and Tulsa in 1986 in the Baseball America Statistics Report is Benny Cadahia. Was he a player/coach, or is that a different guy? --Just me 20:51, 10 October 2006 (EDT)
If he was managing in '86, likely a different guy as the Cadahia I checked played most of the year. The previous poster had mentioned that he caught for seven years, so I figured C. Benito Cadahia was the right guy. The only other Cadahia was a contemporary (a relative?), Aurelio Cadahia (1977-1983). Thebaseballcube says that Chino was picked in the 1980 draft, which would seem to indicate that we're talking about C. Benito, but they're often wrong about things. Can we get Chino's real name? My guess is Aurelio may be the right one. - --Mischa 21:03, 10 October 2006 (EDT)
This release says he played in the minors from 1977 to 1983 and began his coaching career in 1984... I'm thinking he is Aurelio. -Chisoxfan 21:07, 10 October 2006 (EDT)
I have found a lot of players linked wrong on baseball cube. I always double check everything they have listed pre-1996. --Just me 21:15, 10 October 2006 (EDT)
Even post-1996 they get a lot of stuff wrong - when I first looked up Ryan Braun, they had the two Ryan Brauns totally intermixed. They get middle initials wrong for quite a few post-1996 players as well. I'll move the old info to Benny Cadahia and add Aurelio's stats if I have time tonight. - --Mischa 09:05, 11 October 2006 (EDT)
Assuming it's Aurelio, I entered the stats for that Mr. Cadahia. - --Mischa 05:53, 22 October 2006 (EDT)
The BR draft page mixes them up too. They have Chino being drafted out of HS in 1980, that's obviously Benny. --Jeff 02:09, 4 November 2009 (EST)
