Talk:Bob Troy
This particular player remains a mystery. His deathplace does not seem to exist in current or historical maps nor does he himself seem to exist in military records. We have some misgivings here - maybe he was a civilian caught in the crossfire or --- gasp!!! --- a German soldier. Does anyone have any clues here?
The name of the place is mispelled. It is actually "Petit Maujouy", and is not really a place, but the name given by American troops to a WWI field hospital near Ancemont (Départment de la Meuse, near Verdun). See here: [1] under note 30.--Philippe 11:22, 14 Mar 2006 (EST)
