Talk:2008 Olympics
Should we mention that this will be the last Olympics without baseball until further notice by the IOC? --Jbroks86
With 8 games left to play, this page is already our third longest, trailing only the 2007 Baseball World Cup and Western League. - --Mischa 10:04, 19 August 2008 (EDT)
Cuba leads the US 4-2 after 7. Regardless of who wins, we'll have yet another Gold Medal matchup.
1992: Cuba-Taiwan 1996: Cuba-Japan 2000: Cuba-USA 2004: Cuba-Australia
And yet the IBAF claims that baseball isn't a global sport and needs to be removed. - --Mischa 08:41, 22 August 2008 (EDT)
I won't be online until late tomorrow night due to the Sabbath. If someone has time to add in the details to the box score for tomorrow's games, I'll try to get the summaries posted when I log in. You can go to http://results.beijing2008.cn/WRM/ENG/Schedule/BB.shtml, click on game details and then go to box score for all the relevant info (attendance, umpires, time of game, pitchers of record, etc.) Everything should be wrapped up by noon Eastern time. - --Mischa 15:08, 22 August 2008 (EDT)
Excellent job on this page Mischa. The write-ups for each game give way more detail than you'll find over at wikipedia. --Jeff 01:16, 24 August 2008 (EDT)
