Talk:1958 Kansas City Athletics

Bob Cerv was one of my childhood heros in the year 1958, his only truly great season as a major league player. I still have fond memories of a 3 run homer he hit on my birthday against the White Sox. Sometimes even the more obscure players and mediocre teams can be an inspiration and lifelong memory to the sportsfan. Perhaps this shows us that we all have the potential for greatness, at least on some occasions.
