I had the source, but then misplaced it. Apparently the Worcester baseball team was called the Worcester Worcesters. Will go looking for source. - Yuriy 43.

Team names were very fluid in those days and usually derived from local journalists finding nuicknames for the local squad to pepper their reports; rival papers would refer to the same team by different names.
