Biographical Information[edit]

Takeshi Nonogaki played in Japan and Taiwan for 10 years combined.

Nonogaki was signed by the Seibu Lions in 1989, but he only had 4 at-bats combined for the big club before the Lions traded him to the Hiroshima Carp for Yusuke Kawada in 1995. He was 4-for-11 in 1996, then he hit .327/.352/.423 in 41 games in 1997. However, Nonogaki's batting line fell to .105/.227/.158 in 1998, and he was 1-for-5 in 1999. He had a .213/.276/.369 in 82 games in 2000, and the Carp traded him to the Daiei Hawks for cash. Nonogaki hit .221/.254/.294 in 2001, and his batting line was .172/.186/.190 in 2002. He was released after the 2002 season, and he signed with the Macoto Cobras in 2003. Nonogaki had a solid .328/.394/.547 batting line there, but he only played 16 games then an injury ended his season. He announced his retirement in 2003.

Overall, Nonogaki had hit .223/.267/.314 with 76 hits and 4 homers in 9 seasons in the NPB.
