Biographical Information[edit]
Takayuki Kanamori was a 6th-round draft pick of the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 6th round of the 2003 NPB draft. Kanamori spent three years in the minors. He came up in 2007 and went 4-1 with a 2.35 ERA in 15 games. He had a 0-1, 4.50 record in 10 contests in 2008.
In 2009, he allowed only two runs in 21 1/3 IP in the regular season despite 17 hits and 9 walks. In game four of the 2009 Japan Series, he gave up a 3-run homer to Alex Ramirez.
