Biographical Information

Tae-wan Kim has been an infielder in the Korea Baseball Organization.

He was 3 for 36 with 15 strikeouts as a rookie for the LG Twins in 2004 and 4 for 40 with 7 walks in 2005 then missed time due to military service. Returning in 2008, he was 16 for 66 with 2 doubles, a triple and 8 walks. He was 7 for 33 with two doubles and nine walks in 2009. In 2010, he hit .254/~.316/.415 in 72 games, followed by .252/~.352/.401 in 76 contests in 2011. In 2012, he slumped to .220/~.304/.298. He was dealt to the Samsung Lions in the off-season and produced at a .272/.360/.444 clip in 189 plate appearances over 83 games for them in 2013.
