Biographical Information[edit]

Tadashi Ueda played the outfield, second and third in a four-year career in the Japanese Professional Baseball League. He was 3 for 6 for the Osaka Tigers in the spring of 1937, then was drafted into the military and served there through 1940. In '41, he returned to the Tigers and hit .136/.224/.159. Playing regularly in 1942, Ueda put up a .125/.222/.152 line, then he hit .047/.212/.047 in 28 games in 1943 to finish his career at .122/.227/.141. He was drafted back into service in 1944 and died in combat during World War II.
