Biographical Information

Susumu Kaneda was drafted by the Chunichi Dragons in the 4th round of the 1981 NPB draft, and he was 11-for-52 in his first season. However, he only got 34 more at-bats combined before the Dragons released him in 1991; he collected 5 hits. Kaneda later became the battery coach for the Dragons from 1996 to 2004, and he coached Nagoya Gakuin University from 2015 to 2023. Nagoya University of Economics named him their new coach in 2024.
