Biographical Information

Infielder Seok-min Park has played for the Samsung Lions. He debuted in 2004, going 3 for 29 with 3 walks, a double and a homer. In 2005, he hit .198/.283/.259. He missed the next two seasons (presumably due to either military service or a stint in the minors). In 2008, Park batted .279/.385/.450 with 73 walks and 27 doubles. He tied four others for second in the Korea Baseball Organization in doubles (behind Hyun-soo Kim), was 5th in walks and 10th in OBP.

Park produced at a .285/.416/.586 rate with 71 walks and 24 homers in 2009. He tied Doug Clark for 9th in home runs. Had he qualified, he would have been 5th in slugging and 8th in OBP. He put up a .303/.440/.480 line with 91 walks in 2010. He was second in walks (behind Tae-wan Kim) and second in OBP (behind Dae-ho Lee).
