Stop sign
The stop sign is given by the third base coach. Signalled by two arms high in the air with palms out, it is an indication to the runner to stop at the base he is approaching rather than advancing further. It is often used as the term running through the stop sign as in the runner ignored the coach and was tagged out at the next base.
