Stoolball
Stooball is an early game that is considered an ancestor of baseball supposedly. The rules are basically that a person throws a ball at a stool set up behind another person who tries to "defend" the stool by slapping the ball away with a paddle-like thing. The stool can almost be seen as a strike zone if you want to look at it that way because it serves as a target that the "pitcher" tries to hit every time. The game originated in the 15th century or there about.
