Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Steven Johnson made a single start for the Marion Mets of the New York Mets system in 1973, allowing 1 run on 3 hits, a walk and a wild pitch in 2 innings of work. He didn't factor into the decision. He also made 24 relief appearances for the Wisconsin Rapids Twins in the Minnesota Twins system in 1975, posting a 2.25 ERA; he allowed 20 hits and 10 walks for a 1.071 WHIP, while striking out 10 batters. He was over two years older than the average player in the league.
Overall, Johnson went 3-2 with a 2.40 ERA in 25 games (1 starts). In 30 innings, he allowed 23 hits and 11 walks, while striking out 12 batters.
