Biographical Information[edit]
Steve Rachunok pitched two games for the 1940 Brooklyn Dodgers.
He was in the Detroit Tigers organization but was one of many players freed by Major League Baseball due to inappropriate activity by Detroit in 1940. He had started in the Detroit minor league organization in 1936. In 1939 he went 22-6 for Henderson.
He played in Montreal in 1940 and 1941.
After playing with the Dodgers in September 1940, he accompanied them to Havana for spring training in 1941, according to the book Cuban Baseball.
The book Pete Reiser claims that Rachunok liked "late-hour living".
