Biographical Information[edit]
From 1977-1979, Steve Jaksa was 12-4 with four saves as Central Michigan University. He was head coach at Saginaw Nouvel Central Catholic High School from 1988 through 1998, going 353-106 with state titles in 1990 and 1997.
Jaksa was head coach at Northwood University in 1998, going 28-25. In 1999, Jaksa was pitching and catching coach at Central Michigan University, becoming head coach in 2003. He was 507-421-2 in his sixteen seasons at the helm. He was named Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year in 2004 when the school won the regular season title for the first time in 11 years. He also won in 2015 and finished second in school history in wins. In 2019, he became head coach of Saginaw Valley State University, staying through 2022.
