Stephen Labay pitched three seasons in the minor leagues.

Labay pitched for the 1984 Peninsula Pilots (5-3, 2.98) and Bend Phillies (0-1, 4 R, 1 ER in 11 1/3 IP). He only saw limited action for the 1985 and 1986 Reading Phillies, going 1-3 with a 4.50 ERA in '85 and 2-2, 3.12 in '86, pitching a total of 13 games at AA.

Labay coached for the Swedish national team in the 2010 European Championship and 2014 European Championship.
