Stefano Germano is a member of the Italian Baseball Hall of Fame. He began his baseball career as an umpire in 1957. He later became a sportswriter for Guerin Sportivo, the main Italian sports publication. He covered baseball for them from the 1970s until his death in 1991. He covered the 1984 Olympics among other events. He was posthumously inducted to the Italian Hall of Fame in 2008.
