Stanislav Lemtyuzhnikov played for the Russian national team.
In the 1997 European Championship, he was 2-for-2 in steals. [1] He hit .154/.290/.154 with two runs and five walks in eight games in the 2001 European Championship, handling 21 chances error-free as a starting outfielder. Russia made it to the finals for the first (and through 2021 only) time. He was 0 for 3 against the Dutch national team's Rob Cordemans in the Gold Medal Game. [2] Lemtyuzhnikov remained Russia's main right fielder in the 2001 Baseball World Cup, going 2-for-16 with two runs and a RBI while making one error in 14 chances. Both of his hits came in their win over the Philippines national team. [3]
