Biographical Information[edit]
After attending USC, second baseman Stan Charnofsky played 7 seasons of minor league ball. Late in his career, he was a player-manager for the Augusta Tigers and St. Petersburg Saints. From 1962 to 1966, he was the head baseball coach at San Fernando Valley State College (where future broadcaster Dick Enberg was one of his assistants for a time). Following his baseball days, he became a professor of educational psychology and counseling at the school, which was later known as California State University, Northridge.
Charnofsky's twin brother Hal Charnofsky was a minor league manager.
