Team Bio[edit]
The Spartanburg Stingers were a Summer Collegiate Baseball team that played in the Coastal Plain League. The Stingers played their home games at Russell C. King Field on the campus of Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC. Founded in 2003, the Stingers finished second in their division in their inaugural year with a 12-8 record. The great season was not enough to earn the team a wild card birth and the team missed out on the playoffs. The club never played for a Pettit Cup Championship. Their final season was 2007.
