Biographical information[edit]
Soichi Kamimura is a former minor league pitcher who played in the Florida Marlins organization in 2003 and in the independent leagues from 2004 to 2005.
He played for the GCL Marlins in 2003, making five relief appearances and going 2-0 with a 3.07 ERA in 14 2/3 innings. In 2004, he played for the Elmira Pioneers, making two relief appearances and going 0-0 with a 3.38 ERA. He played for the Pioneers in 2005, going 0-1 with a 5.63 ERA in two games started. Overall, he went 2-1 with a 3.94 ERA in nine games (two starts). After his US career ended, Kamimura played in Japan's independent Shikoku Island League.
