Biographical Information[edit]
Slim McGrew was said to be 6 ft. 7½ inches tall, the tallest player of his time in professional baseball. In 1924 he went 15-5 with a 2.84 ERA for the Memphis Chicks. Source: 1924 Memphis Chicks
He also pitched for the 1924 Washington Senators who won the 1924 World Series, although McGrew did not appear in the Series.
