Slats Gill was a college coach.
Gill was an All-American basketball player in college in 1924. He coached the Oregon State basketball team to 599 wins and went to two Final Fours. He coached their baseball team from 1932-1937, coaching Don Johnson. He is a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, inducted in 1968.
