Team Bio[edit]

Founded in 2006, The Skagit Eagles are a Summer Collegiate Baseball team playing in the Pacific International League. The Eagles play their home games at the Skagit Dream Field on the campus of Skagit Valley College in Mt. Vernon, WA.

The Skagit Eagles are like other summer collegiate baseball teams, in that they are dedicated and designed to provide minor league level competition for NCAA players that wish to continue on into professional baseball. The Eagles are somewhat unique in that there are also several rehabilitating professional players on the team Roster. Former Professionals who play with the Eagles must also meet NCAA eligibility requirements.

The Skagit Eagles operate in a similar style to an Independent Minor League team: actively recruiting players, playing nightly before fans in stadiums which seat thousands, using wood bats and minor league specification equipment, and experiencing road trips between games. Skagitt Eagles athletes remain unpaid in order to maintain their NCAA eligibility, and live with host families in the same manner as Single A and Independent League players.

Aside from playing within the PIL, the Skagit eagles also operate as a barnstorming team within several other Summer Collegiate Baseball leagues and tournament series.
