Biographical Information[edit]

Shih-Feng Chen caught in the CPBL and TML for 6 years.

Chen represented Taiwan in the 1993 World Youth Championship. The Taichung Agan selected him in the first round of the 1999 TML draft, and he hit .179/.233/.236 in his rookie year. He improved to .291/.338/.397 in 2000, and he was also selected into the 2000 TML All-Star Game. Chen then had a .246/.272/.347 batting line in 2001, and he slumped to .213/.265/.336 in 2002. When the two leagues merged in 2003, Chen was assigned to the Macoto Cobras, and he hit .216/.237/.311 in 59 games. He was 1-for-18 in 2004, and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Chen had hit .229/.272/.323 with 162 hits and 13 homers in 6 seasons in the CPBL and TML.
