Biographical Information[edit]

Sherman Corbett was signed as a 3rd round pick in the 1984 amateur draft by the California Angels and scouts Lou Snipp and Mark Snipp. He pitched 42 big league games in three seasons, 34 of which came in his rookie year, 1988 (2-1, 4.14). He was a high school baseball coach for five years after retiring, later becoming the head coach at UTSA from 2001-2012. He is currently the assistant to the athletic director for the Roadrunners. Corbett's brother, Ray, was a catcher in the minors from 1977 to 1985.
