Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Shawn Boskie was signed as a first round pick in the 1986 January amateur draft by the Chicago Cubs and scout Tom Davis. An eight year veteran, Shawn suffered from an ERA habitually in the 5s while pitching for six teams during the 1990s. In 1996, he was a 12 game winner for the California Angels, going 12-11 behind a 5.32 ERA and American League leading totals in home runs surrendered (40) and HBP (13).
