Steve Schellsmidt has been a college coach.

Schellsmidt was a catcher-first baseman in college. He was assistant coach at Kee High School then was head coach of Bellevue High School. He later became head coach of the University of Dubuque (holding that position from 2003 to 2012 and an associate scout for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
