Shane Timothy Heams
Outfielder Shane Heams was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 41st round of the 1994 amateur draft. He struggled at the plate in 1995, so the Mariners decided to convert him to pitching. He went on to win an Olympic gold medal for the United States in the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
