Biographical Information[edit]
Sergio Akita pitched for the Brazilian national team in the 1995 Pan American Games and 1995 Intercontinental Cup. In the latter event, he was roughed up for 7 runs in two innings over three games, for Brazil's worst ERA. Opponents went 5 for 9 with a double, home run and five walks. He took the loss in a start against the Netherlands and lasted just 1 1/3 IP.
