Biographical Information[edit]
Seymour Studley, known as "Cy" or "Seem" or "The Warhorse", appeared in only five games in the National Association but had been a regular prior to the time the National Association was formed. Beginning in 1866 he played for the Washington Nationals.
He served in the Civil War in 1864, suffering a major sunstroke.
He was married three times. He was originally listed as having died in 1874, but further research confirmed a death in 1901.
