Biographical Information

Sean Smedley played in the Tampa Bay Rays chain from 2013-2015, hitting only .100/.222/.100 in 81 plate appearances over 24 games; he had two runs and two RBI. He only took the field for six games, four at catcher and two at first base, making no errors.

Smedley became a coach in 2017 with the Princeton Rays after having been their video coordinator in 2016. He was a coach for the Hudson Valley Renegades in 2019, Charleston RiverDogs in 2021, and Montgomery Biscuits in 2022. Smedley became a manager with Charleston in 2023-2024.
